22nd Day of Pelor's Blessing
It has been a quite few weeks since my return to The Valley. Life, as ever goes on but the atmosphere here has changed. The discoveries of the wider world outside of our home has stirred things up somewhat. Twice now I've had to patch up a few bruised heads and break up the odd drunken row due to disagreements about what has been discovered and when we should do about it.
I fear we might see families begin to move away from The Valley to explore the wider world. What might they bring back? Who can say.
As ever, I trust in Moradin to keep us safe, and my Warhammer to keep the drunks in line.
32nd day of Pelor's Blessing
Tomorrow I head out of The Valley once more. The small group that I went with last time asked if I could accompany them again and Baran has consented. Krabog is unable to join us this time, but instead we have enlisted the help of Dramble the gnomish storyteller from the inn and the Paladin Aila Oakenheel
We leave at first light. Moradin be with us.
33rd day of Pelor's Blessing
Today has been a peaceful day. Gladly, the rather treacherous descent down The Falls of Ardun has been somewhat tamed by the stone working skills of The Valley Dwarves. It will certainly help our travelling groups in journeying to The Plains below, but when will we see our first visitor to The Valley?
Our travel south across the plains has been peaceful with little more to concern us than deer and an impeded view from the high grass!
We've made our camp for the night at the Hut on Eel Marsh Island. Aila has seen one of the Elven Plainspeople in the distance and has gone to ask about if we are allowed to take a deer for our meal tonight. I do hope so; I hate eel.
34th day of Pelor's blessing
Ah, I am glad the Gnomes of Riverglade know that Eel does not make a good evening meal. We've been well looked after by Dimble's village tonight and we'll be well prepped for our journey further south tomorrow.
Our journey to Riverglade was as uneventful as yesterday's, which I put down to the combination of Pip and Dramble's attempts to pass the time. I think they must have scared most things off between them. I'm still reluctant to propose this as a future strategy however, despite how successful it appears to have been....
35th day of Pelor's blessing
Tomorrow we push ahead south, hopefully to Harmenton. Dimble has told us that it's a large fishing town, south of Mataka's Rocks along the river. Dimble himself is as healed as I think he can be following the Kobold attack. His initial injury was fairly serious and now beyond my skills to resolve further. I'm glad he's just getting on with living with it however, and it definitely isn't hold him or the village back.
Breena now has a full set of bolts allowing them to operate the teleporters. Again we've counselled her to tread careful, but I'm not they'll take heed. My prayers tonight will entreat Moradin to watch over these kind folk.
36th day of Pelor's Blessing
We have made it to Harmenton It's a big, busy place, not on the scale of Kassiter, but it might be the second biggest I've seen. It's right on the bend of the river as it spreads out, which explains the strong smell of fish! It also seems like they have their own problems with Kobolds in a similar fashion to Riverglade. We've offered to help clear them out from Bert Bowerman's fields tomorrow.
We've also found a couple of young kids who claim to know of a Cursed Fort near here at a town called Woods End. It seems they fancy themselves as a pair of "adventurers" and are part of an organisation called the Red Foxes. I guess we'll see if they can use those bows they're carrying tomorrow. I'd best keep an eye on them.
