This wiki does not use any 3rd party analytics or advertising. The MediaWiki software that powers it uses cookies to tie your individual requests together as a browsing session, and to tell if you are logged in, as part of its normal operation to provide the service that it does, but no personal information is stored in the cookies.

If you want to edit the wiki, you will need an account to do so. Accounts require a username for you to log in as, and an email address to handle administrative actions like password resets, and as a means of providing you with notifications if you elect to receive them. You can change which notifications you receive in your account preferences. If you log in and edit the wiki, the MediaWiki software records the date/time, IP address, username, and changes made for each edit that is saved.

The wiki saves logs of page requests, including the IP address of the computer which made each request, and any query string parameters that might have been part of the URL requested. These logs are saved for monitoring and troubleshooting purposes, and are deleted after 30 days. The logs may be processed and analyzed for analytics purposes, with the processed results stored for longer, but any potentially personal information (such as IP address or query string parameters) is stripped from these processed results.

All data collected on this site is stored and processed exclusively in the UK. However, data that is made publically available from this site over the internet may be accessed from anywhere in the world. You should be aware that sending information over the internet from one computer in the UK to another computer in the UK, may be routed outside of the UK in transit, as a fundamental consequence of how internet routing works. However, this site endeavours to use end-to-end encryption wherever possible, to ensure the privacy of any data sent over the internet.
