The Quiet Wood

The Quiet Wood is a forest near to the Valley. The Temple of Power and The Tower of Observation are inside the Quiet Wood.

Once overrun with giant spiders, the wood is beginning to return to a more placid, natural state now that the spiders are sealed beneath the Temple of Power.

It's not known how the wood came to be overrun, but we do know roughly when this happened, because there are roads in the wood which have young trees of perhaps ten or fifteen years growing on them, suggesting that whatever doom befell the forest happened around ten to fifteen years ago.

There is a small ruined settlement in the wood, comprising three wooden shacks. It is not known who lived here, but whoever they were they seemed to be worshippers of Melora, the goddess of the wilderness.
