Ikata monastery
Dedicated to the guardian spirit Ikata, this monastery is high in the snowy mountains near Taurtaikatanur. Silver and white dragonborn monks in blue robes worship here, assisted by halflings from the nearby town of Bressel who trek up to the monastery bringing food and supplies in exchange for the monks' blessings and protection from the "faithless frogmen" who live in Glasswall Lake. The monastery is well-fortified and stocked with food and supplies - the monks also keep a flock of hens for meat and eggs.
Who's who
- The abbot of the monastery is Ikata-Kesharyx, a silver dragonborn who enjoys telling stories.
- A dragonborn scribe named Iskaron works in the main temple building, and was kind enough to provide our adventurers with a map.
- Four halflings from Bressel were met by our adventurers. Their names were Marigold, Jasper, Lindal and Perrin. They recommend the Windmill Inn, if you should find yourself in Bressel.

Ikata
According to the monks, Ikata is a water dragon who fell from the heavens "in the time of the war between the gods, in the days of the goldfire when the Black Path danced with spirits". Where she fell, an enormous lake (Glasswall Lake) was created. She now serves as a guardian spirit of the mountains, and the monks say her eyes can still sometimes be seen looking out from the lake, as blue and white lights beneath the water's surface.
Deep in the monastery, in a chamber carved out of the mountain itself, is a holy relic known as Ikata's heart. The monks worship it with song, and it answers them with a corona of white and blue energy and a pale blue glow. Only those with dragon's blood are permitted to enter the shrine containing Ikata's heart.
