Politics and governance

Decisions in the valley are decided on an ad-hoc, community-led basis. There is no formally-recognised leader or council, though some members of the community have more influence than others.

The community is divided into a number of different factions, each with their own agendas:

  • The dwarves from the western mines
  • The halflings from Bella's Landing
  • Farming and milling families
  • Wizards from the Tower of Arcane Wisdom
  • Merchants and traders
  • The high elves from the feygrove
  • Church elders and other religious leaders

Law and Order

The valley is too small to possess a formal guard force, however it does have a small militia tasked with defending the settlement and dealing with petty crime.
