Politics and governance
Decisions in the valley are decided on an ad-hoc, community-led basis. There is no formally-recognised leader or council, though some members of the community have more influence than others.
The community is divided into a number of different factions, each with their own agendas:
- The dwarves from the western mines
- The halflings from Bella's Landing
- Farming and milling families
- Wizards from the Tower of Arcane Wisdom
- Merchants and traders
- The high elves from the feygrove
- Church elders and other religious leaders
Law and Order
The valley is too small to possess a formal guard force, however it does have a small militia tasked with defending the settlement and dealing with petty crime.
