Possibly based on the smaller Guardians, the Blood Guardians are Builder technology enhanced with elven magic.
Standing on six legs, these black spider-like constructs have a round body topped by a weapon turret "head" covered in a cluster of blue and black bolts. Fast and deadly, they have a necrotic ray, as well as a thunder weapon to deal with attackers at close range.
Around the body of the Blood Guardians, written in golden elven letters is the text "Grow strong: Drink deep of life, in the name of our Queen" - this is made more disturbing by the fact that after attacking with its necrotic ray and draining its victim's life force, the Blood Guardian's black bolts run red with stolen blood.
