The word Bolt can describe a number of mundane items, but in the context of the Builders' structures it refers to one of a variety of magical devices found in and around Builders' artifacts. They resemble ordinary metal fasteners, with a long cylindrical body and a wider head at one end, but radiate magic of a particular type. This is thought to be indicated by the colour of the individual bolt.

- Green - Abjuration magic
- White - Divination magic
No bolt has so far been found to correspond to necromantic magic.
