The Church of Leng-Kaddath is the remnant of a religious organisation that was dedicated to seeking out knowledge of twisted and dangerous entities and realms, and keeping people from using it. Sometimes they just destroyed the knowledge outright, burning the books, scrolls and carvings lest the forbidden knowledge fall into the wrong hands.

Othertimes the knowledge was carefully locked away and studied in case the information therein could shed some light on better ways of combating entities and dangers from far beyond our everyday humdrum world. The church also played a role in infiltrating and expunging (other) dangerous cults devoted to the study of such sinister and twisted knowledge and rooting out the mad and ignorant followers responsible for them. The church may have been a rather fierce organisation 'back in the day', but is now rather bereft of any real purpose in [[The Valley]], becoming an atrophied "protector cult" that has no real idea what its protecting the valley from anymore. There has been a scarcity of abomination-worshipping cults during the long isolation, and most of the dangerous material in the church's archive is either destroyed, unintelligible or incomplete.
