A fort on the western edge of The Rift, reached via a large tunnel running to the lower-east of Bezzeran. It's less than an hour to travel down the tunnel. There are resting points with benches along the tunnel.

At the end of the tunnel is a flat stone plateau with darkness beyond it. Speria is on this platform. It is a small fort, 2 stories but relatively comfy, but sized for the shorter folk. There are quite a few Deep Gnomes and Stone Elves patrolling the wall around it.

Off to the side of Speria is a squalid encampment presumably of follows of Tirima.

Speria is guarded by the Rift Wardens.

It was glimpsed as a cluster of orange lights in the far distance during exploration of Underdark mine workings, up the chasm of the rift.

Entry to Speria is via a fortified gate on the edge of the platform with a 4 foot doorway which is guarded by the Riftwardens. Getting in requires permission.

The Bridge across the Rift
Through the other side of Speria is a locked mechanical door is a 20ft wide, 60ft long bridge across the chasm. Beyond the bridge is "The Dead City". There is a very slight warm breeze coming up the rift.

The bridge appears natural, but with carvings along it. The carvings are delicate and possibly aren't Elven or Gnomish. They seem to include natural forms like flowers. One of the flowers was an 8 petaled flower which grows deep in shaded forests. Orinko Flower which is golden. The hidden sun. The carvings might be Goblinoid.

The bridge also has what appear to be the remains of carved trees on it.

There is no phosphorescent moss here.

At the end of the bridge is an ornate stone carved gate and arch made of stone carved trees.

Beyond the bridge

Residents
* Estric - a stone elf Rift Warden
* Elari - A stone elf crazy cultist of Tirima, said to be "mind-touched" by her
* Felandrian - A stone elf Rift Warden
* Jerretin - a Rift Warden

Kassiter is a large dwarven sea port and the source of a trade caravan which travels to Klippika each summer. It is a significant distance west of Klippika, as the caravan takes around three months to travel the entire distance, stopping off at numerous other settlements along the way. The buildings of Kassiter are carved into the cliffs and crags bordering the ocean.

As of the start of year one Kassiter has not been visited by anybody from the valley, but has been seen from a distance of a few miles. It is a short distance east of the transport station Entaurdeshshan on the Builder Network, in rocky arid country. Even in the winter, when the first visitors from the valley came to Kassiter, the weather was warm.

Has a population of 25,000 souls.
All stone buildings with narrow streets, alleyways, fountains and market squares.

Klippika is a site in The Plains which can be seen from Kazkan's Farm. It is a ring of six tall conical crags which surround a central circular lake. It is considered a holy site by the elves of Klippika village, who associate it with the god Corellon. A group of worshippers known as The Watchers of the Water maintain a vigil at the lakeside, led by the high priestess Quelenna, who is the only person permitted to enter the holy waters. The vigil watches for "Corellon's Stars", blue-white lights which can be seen moving around deep below the surface of the water on certain nights.

The crags themselves are about 300' high, and are shaped like smooth cones with rounded tops. They're made of what looks like a dark grey stone, but it still has a slightly metallic sheen to it. For some reason, they look grown, rather than built. The hexagon they form is about 1200' across, and the Elves had put up 30' high poles between the crags to string their banners from.

In the spaces between the six crags are strung dark blue banners bearing the white star of Corellon, as well as small bells which chime in the wind. One side of the site is kept clear of banners, where the road comes in from Klippika village.

The pool in the middle is circular, quite shallow at the edge, getting deeper towards the middle, before plunging into a deep funnel at the centre.

A mountaintop on a map in the Woods End Fort, immediately south of the Sorello Pass.

Bordered by the mountains and the Kurin forest to the north, and wild wind-swept moors to the south, the village of Black Crag nestles in the foothills, at the base of a large pale grey peak capped by a dark-coloured summit. Hunters track wild deer in the forested hills above, while visiting trophy hunters look for more monstrous quarry in the mountains.

Other hunters wander in the southern moors, and some limited agriculture takes place here though the landscape is unsuitable for much beyond sheep farming. Barley is grown in fields downslope from the village but at a subsistence level. Yields aren't great, but there is enough to provide a backup food source, and to allow the production of beer and grain spirits. Several farms have their own stills.

Upslope from the village are forested foothills, beyond which is a clear mountain lake - Dariss Tarn - stocked with fish.

There are no inns, taverns or hotels in Black Crag, on the basis that the place is seldom visited by outsiders. The hunting lodge may offer accommodation to passing travelers, most visitors to Black Crag stay with friends or family members in the village.

If Black Crag has any kind of leaders, it would be the va Geshi family - half-elves who own one of the larger farms and hunt in the foothills.

A small settlement on the south western edge of the Lake Sakera.

Discovered it on an ancient map in Woods End Fort where it is called Nendëyanta. The map only shows buildings on the eastern side of the bridge, however a small halfling settlement now exists on the western side of the Sakera river. The halfling settlement contains an inn called The Old Bridge owned by one Allowin Oakbottom - Dramble created quite an impression when he visited here in the winter of 5663.

Halfling fishermen and fisherwomen sail out regularly from the western side of Nendëyanta, but don't go near an island in the lake on the basis that there aren't many fish near it. The elves on the eastern side don't acknowledge the island. Two of the fishermen are Arick and Rosan.
